Tips To Help Your Children Explore Outer Space

If you are anything like me then you try to enhance your children’s education as often as you can. My daughter recently came home all excited about our solar system and was asking all kinds of questions. I was so impressed with what all she already knew and just proud as punch that she wanted to know more. This got me on a mission to teach her as much as I could, while still having a little fun.

The first thing we did was made a model of our solar system using food we had around the house. Not only was this a lot of fun, but it sure was an exciting way to spruce up dessert that night! We used a lot of fruit for the planets and a little food coloring and Twizzler sticks to make them as real as possible.

The next thing we did was to have a family camp out night. We took blankets, snacks and books about our solar system as well as our family’s telescope. We spent the rest of the night checking out the stars and trying to locate the planets while having a lot of fun. We found lots of constellations as well that night. This really excited my little girl.

Another great idea is to pull out the play dough and mold the planets. This can be fun because you can let your children be creative and they can do whatever color they think the planets should be. This is something that can be reused again to study another subject on a later date.

There are tons of different tricks and tips to keep children interested in learning. It’s our job as parents and teacher to keep the learning going. This mean we have to stay involvend and on our “A” game for our children. What’s 1 more click? Your boss isn’t watching… Earth Passing by other Planets Now Ultra High Speeds!
