The Serpent. The Serpent is a particularly annoying constellation for people who try to categorize them. It is split into two distinct, disjointed areas of the sky which are divided by the constellation, Ophiuchus. They are named Serpents Caput and Serpent Cauda. Ophiuchus is portrayed as grasping both of them in his hands.
