The Fish. It is thought that the fish are Venus and her son, Cupid, who escaped Typhon, a fire breathing giant, by jumping into a river and turning into fish. Pisces swims just under Pegasus, and is another Zodiacal constellation. A thin band of stars joins both fish as they attempt to swim away from each other.
