The Lesser Dog. Canis Minor is one of Orion's hunting dogs. Orion's hunting dogs, Canis Major and Canis Minor, have no relation to Bootes' Hounds, Canes Venatici. It is said that the dog was given a place in the sky for his faithfulness and that he drinks from the Milky Way.
