Mars's sky world be as bright as Earth's twilight because of its thin atmosphere and heavy amount of dust.  Therefore, you should always be able to see some of the bright stars but not the faint ones that we can observe from a clear night on Earth.  On the Moon, you should be able to see the stars all the time.
