All of the planets in our solar system rotates on a preferred axis which means they have two regions along their axis.  We can call these two hemispheres of the ecliptic plane North Pole or South Pole.  Will there be a planetary alignment on May 5, 2000 that will devastate the world? First of all, there is no solid evidence that there is a planetary alignment on May 5, 2000.  Secondly, there will be no gravitational or electromagnetic effect at all.  Historic data shows nothing had happened during the past grand alignments.
